Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Meridian mobile application and related services ("Service") collect, process, store, and protect the personal data of its users.

- Improving the Service and enhancing user experience
- Fulfilling legal obligations
4. Data Storage and Security
Your account data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud) infrastructure in the europe-west1 (Belgium) region. Data is protected with TLS encryption during transmission.
This applies to the data we store. The providers listed in section 7 process data on their own infrastructure, which for the United States providers among them means outside the EU — see section 5.1 of our KVKK notice for the recipient, country and safeguard of each transfer.
5. AI Processing
ATLAS AI Advisor: Powered by Claude AI (Anthropic). Your chat history is processed to provide personalized recommendations. Anthropic does not permanently store your personal data or use it for model training.
Risk Analysis: Country risk assessment is performed using Google's Gemini model. This process operates on anonymized data; your personal information is not transmitted to Google AI.
6. Data Retention
- Account information: Retained while your account is active
- Chat history: Retained while your account is active
- After account deletion request: your account and the data we hold about it are permanently deleted within 30 days
- Analytics data already collected by Google is kept under Google's own retention settings; deleting your account does not erase it retroactively
- If you gave us your email through a contact form, that record lives in our marketing and CRM system and is not tied to your account — write to support@meridianedu.ai and we will delete it

These providers process personal data on our instructions, under their own data processing terms. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
8. Cookies and Tracking
Our website sets no cookies of its own. Your language preference and your cookie choice are kept in your browser's local storage: they stay on your device and are never sent to us.
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site and app are used. Google's analytics and marketing cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner: all Google consent signals start as denied, and nothing is stored on your device for analytics until you choose otherwise. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the cookie banner.
Before you make a choice, Google Analytics still sends a cookie-less request that contains your IP address and browser user agent. No identifier is stored on your device in that request, but the request itself reaches Google.
9. User Rights
You may exercise the following rights by contacting support@meridianedu.ai:
- Right of access: Obtain information about what data is processed
- Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
- Right to data portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to object: Object to the processing of your data
Requests are responded to within 30 days.
10. Children's Privacy
Users under the age of 14 cannot create an account without parental consent. Users between 14 and 18 may use the Service with parental approval.
11. Policy Changes
Significant changes to this policy will be communicated to users via in-app notification and/or email.
